Beth Wheeler and Diane Harman-Hoog met one day
when Diane saw a copy of Beth's
new book, Altered Photo Artistry. Diane immediately searched
for contact information, contacted Beth's co-author Lori Marquette
and a phone conference followed. As a result, Beth began teaching
online classes for Quilter's Threads (owned by Diane). Beth went on
to also teach Beginning and Intermediate Photoshop Elements and Joy
of Rust Dyeing.

Beth has written 47 books for textile arts
over the years, this includes her newest book, More Altered Photo
Artistry, which comes out in Spring 2009. Beth and Lori have
worked together for many years at the Two Sipsters Studio, where
Beth is the artist and Lori critiques and does the business
management. Beth is a popular teacher They both live in Fort Wayne,
Indiana.
Diane is a long time quilter who started
sewing on a machine at the age of 3. She owns and operates Quilter's
Threads and its subsidiary Quilter's Keep Learning. Diane was a
traditional quilter for many years. Her path to thread painting came
through a passion for free motion machine quilting and the decision
to change the quilting to thread painting embellishment. Diane has
made several hundred quilts over the years, always trying and
experimenting with new ideas and techniques.
